About Habitat for Humanity of Hamilton County

Habitat for Humanity Hamilton County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry that is dedicated to working in partnership with low-income families in Hamilton County under the conviction that every person should have a safe, decent, and affordable place to live in safety and dignity. Habitat homeowners pay interest-free, zero-profit mortgages, which are used to build more Habitat houses. Because houses are principally built with volunteer labor, mortgage payments are affordable for low-income partners.

Why we do what we do

In Hamilton County, Indiana, where nearly 20% of the county's households are low to moderately-low income levels and greater than 20,000 households experience housing cost burdens, those families who pay more than 30% of their income on housing, unaffordable housing holds our community back from being a place that families can call “home."

Habitat Hires Construction Manager

Habitat for Humanity of Hamilton County is pleased to announce that it has recently hired Randy McKnight to fill the role of Construction Manager for the affiliate.
